WYZ 4 YR
For this year’s celebration we have recalibrated our approach & are throwing our party on Monday night: 06.10.24, 21:30-LATE. This celebration will be happening in the thick of the Chicago staple architecture/design convention Neocon & the contending festivities of the West Loop’s Design Days. The Wyzendale office is located in the West Loop Fulton Market & we couldn’t think of a better location to have our party (160 N. Ogden).
The Wyzendale team will be attending lectures, showroom tours, as well as happy hours throughout this kick-off day for the conventions. In hand each team member will be equipped with a hand stamp for entry to our party. There is no RSVP link for this event it will be a STRICT STAMP ONLY ENTRY.
The Wyzendale creative direction for 2024 is “Greek Meets Retro”.
THE ROBES: As a creative exercise, we have partnered with a Chicago fashion designer Jamie Hayes of Production Mode to produce one-of-a-kind robes for selected Gods of the pantheon: Demeter, Athena, Aphrodite & Dionysus. Shifting through showrooms throughout the west loop, these robes will be made of textiles from manufactures: Kvadrat, Gabriel, Maharam, Herman Miller/Knoll. Robes will be on display at our event.
THE SPACE: With that direction in mind, this celebration will be held in a space that celebrates the 1960s, KASHMIR, a time when cultural and intellectual rebellion was channeled into lifestyle and the creative arts. Kashmir expresses the attitude and style of this era by enveloping guests in texture and color, plush furnishings, exquisite sound, lighting, and a private art collection by internationally renowned artist Domingo Zapata.
Standout elements inside Kashmir include walls and ceilings draped in over 1000 yards of the New Ye-Yé fabric collection created by Quintana Partners & Guell Lamadrid, an imposing cocktail bar made entirely of green onyx, a collection of hand-blown Murano crystal appliques and chandeliers, and a monumental Coppibartali Light by Viabizzuno that hangs over the bar.
THE MUSIC: Be ready to dance & shake, TORIBIO’s got something for your soul—and dat ass. The charming DJ, producer, and multi-instrumental music maker affectionately known as “Papi” in the scene brings people together for his BDA parties where the motto is "Bring Dat Ass, and your feet will follow.” TORIBIO regularly plays in various clubs across New York, including Nowadays, Elsewhere, Good Room, Knockdown Center, Bossa Nova Civic Club, and Le Bain and holds down a monthly show at the Lot Radio. He is frequently invited to play in cities like Mexico City and Miami and his reach continues to expand worldwide.
